Born at Kakkanad in Ernakulam district, Parents
: K.P.George, Leelamma. Wife : Sindhu, Daughter : Aiswarya.
Joshy George had great aptitude
for cartoons even from childhood. During his college days he
proved his mettle as the sub editor of Clap a film based humour
magazine.His writings and sketches used to appear in Deepika,
Kerala Times, Manorajyam, Eenadu, Deshabhimani, Janmabhumi,
Manorama, Asadu, Sarasan, Narmadha, Chembarathi, Chempakam,
Trail, Mukharekha, Sarghadhara etc
The manttle of general editor Cartoon Dwaivarika ( Biweekly
of Cartoons ) fell on Joshy George in 1986. He has had his stint
as the edior of the Kerala Cartoon Academy periodical "
Cartoon Patrika " and Editor- in- charge of the Consumer
Protection Magazine. Currently he is at the secretary of Kerala
Cartoon Academy. Besides, he is a member of the Kerala Journalists
Union, Samastha Sahithya Parishat, Dakshina Bharatheeya Hindhi
Prachara Sabha, Malayala Sahitya Mandalam etc.
Joshy George is the staff cartoonist of the Para humour magazine
from Kochin.His talk show " Shesham Vishesham "
( a sort of a eritical peep in to the stories behind the stories
appearing in the print media ) telecast on ACV is very popular.
