After school studies got training under M.R.D.
Dathan in painting in Cochin School of Arts, Ernakulam. First
cartoon appeared in 'Mathrubhumi' daily in 1969. From 1972 onwards,
drew cartoons in 'the GEETHA' daily under the pen name 'SATHROO'.
After emergency period 'Malayalanadu' of Quilon appointed him
as staff cartoonist. After two years joined 'Mamankam' Weekly
as art editor. In 1985 became editor of 'Manthri' Humorous magazine
from Trivandrum. Three years later started a magazine 'Prathama
Drishti' from Ernakulam but could not go ahead with it because
of financial problems. In 1982 & in 1985 tow cultural organizations
of Muvattupuzha honoured the cartoonist. Drew cartoons in almost
all Malayalam periodicals.
Presently cartoonist of 'MANGALAM DAILY' Kottayam
Wife Chinnamma. Two Children.
