Born on 16-06-1943 at Tellicherry. Father V. Muhamed Kutty Haji, Mother B. M. Mariya Umma. Studied at St. Joseph's Boys High School Calicut, Govt. High School, Payyol, Govt College of Arts & Crafts, Madras. Worked as an artist, Dooradarshan, New Delhi, Malayalam Encyclopedia Thiruvananthapuram, Chandrika Daily, cartoonist in Shankers Weekly, New Delhi, Editor Niramala, Cartoon Masika Kochin. Joined as staff cartoonist Mathrubhumi in 1980 ad still continues with deputy editor grade. Started the famous pocket cartoon 'KUNHAMAN' from November 3 1980. KUNHAMMAN jumped to mini screen on last Onam, produced by Mathrubhumi T V. Married, wife Zuhara Gaffoor, four children. Eldest son Thanveer Gafoor is working in 'NEST' as graphic designer.
