Personal Details
Jacob Thomas has been painting
and sculpting for many years. He works with acrylic, oil, clay,
terracotta and other multi media. The dynamic interaction of
ideas, emotions, memories and myths forms the core of his works.
He constantly experiments with materials, forms, colours and
ideas.
Largely a self - taught artist, Jacob
Thomas has training in many art schools including the Ken School
os Art, Bangalore and the Department of Fine Arts, University
of Lucknow. A post graduate in Physics and Management, he holds
a dectorate in Econometrics. He tries to channel his academic
interests in to colours, lines and forms. He has participated
in Group Exhibitions in many places including Kerala Kala Peetom,
Kochi as well as Art Galleries in Lucknow.
Jacob Thomas is an officer of the Indian
Administrative Service and presently working as the Chairman
of the Cochin Port Trust. |
